Only 26 units sold during mid-June weekend
Much smaller than the previous weekend's 157.
Developers in total sold 26 units during the latest weekend.
According to a research note from Barclays, this is a much smaller number than the 157 units sold in the preceding weekend due to lack of new launches in the past two days.
Among the 26 units sold, 11 were sold from Dragons Range; 3 each from MacPherson Place and The Beaumount II; 2 from The Reach and 7 others from various projects.
Here's more from Barclays:
Although actual sales were few at the weekend, there are several major launches being actively marketing at the moment, including the 536-unit Corinthia by the Sea from K. Wah and Sino Land; the 256-unit Ultima from SHKP; the 75-unit VIVA from CK Property; and some inventory units of the 173-unit Homantin Hillside from Wing Tai and Nan Fung.
Among them, Ultima is to sell the first 38 units and Homantin Hillside is to sell 15 units from this Wednesday. Corinthia by the Sea will sell the first 388 units from Thursday; it has priced the 388 units at a blended net effective ASP of HK$13,428psf, which is 5.5% more expensive than Twin Peak’s achieved ASP of HK$12,724psf and 10.0% more expensive than Parkside’s HK$12,207psf.
Centaline recorded 18 transactions from its Top 10 Housing Estates during the weekend, up 25% from the previous weekend. Kingswood Villas continued to record the largest number of transactions with 6 units changing hand over the weekend, followed by 5 in City One Shatin and 3 in Mei Foo Sun Chuen.
However, there were still three estates registering no transactions at all vs. four the previous weekend. By the broader measure of Midland’s 35 housing estates for the whole week, 81 transactions were recorded for the week of 1-7 June, up 27% w/w, recovering from the declines for the previous two weeks.
However, if we compare the results with the 2014 weekly average of 87 transactions, the latest weekly
transactions were still 7% lower.
