Government approves more building plans
Buildings Department approves 21 building plans in November.
Of this total, one is on Hong Kong Island, eight in Kowloon and 12 in the New Territories.
Ten were for apartment and apartment-commercial developments; seven for commercial developments; one for factory and industrial developments and three were for community services developments.
Consent was given for work to start on 10 building projects that will provide 21,605 square metres of gross floor area for domestic use when completed. The projects involve 193 units and 64,202 square meters of gross floor area for non-domestic use. The department has received notification of commencement of work for 13 building projects.
The department also issued 11 occupation permits: two on Hong Kong Island, three in Kowloon and six in the New Territories.
Of the buildings certified for occupation, the gross floor area for domestic use was 22,265 square metres involving 33 units, and 72,273 square metres for non-domestic use.
The declared cost of new buildings completed in November totaled about $1.8 billion.
The department received 3,769 reports about unauthorized building works in November, and issued 1,338 removal orders on unauthorized works.
