Govt receives 7 land applications for land sharing scheme
The applications can yield 32,000+ flats and 23,000+ public housing units.
The government received seven applications under the Land Sharing Pilot Scheme (LSPS).
The applications cover 43 hectares, providing over 32,000 flats and 23,000 public housing units.
One of the applications filed by Brasilia Limited is for building 1,500 public housing or Starter Homes units and 700 private housing flats.
The government launched LSPS in May 2020 for three years but extended the application by one year to 5 May 2024.
The scheme has moderated the demand to increase the housing supply and closed the application period as planned.
