
Hong Kong's home sales crashed 30.2% to $21b in July
Only 3,986 sale and purchase agreements were recorded.
According to a report, the Lands Registry recorded 3,986 sale and purchase agreements for residential units in July, up 6.6% on June, but down 30.2% year-on-year, with a total consideration of $21 billion.
There were 5,489 agreements for all building units during the month, up 18.9% on June, but down 28.8% year-on-year.
The total consideration for these agreements stood at $27.7 billion, down 10.4% on June and 40.9% year-on-year.
The public made 400,527 land-register searches during the month, up 6.2% on June, and 3% less year-on-year.
