Hong Kong's residential transactions crashed 49.5%

Sale and purchase agreements stood at $19b.

According to a report, the Land Registry received 3,686 sale and purchase agreements for residential units in September, up 8.2% on August, but down 49.5% year on year.

The department said today total consideration for sale and purchase agreements in respect of residential units was $19 billion, down 3.1% on August, and down 53.1% year on year.

There were 5,114 sale and purchase agreements for all building units for registration in September, up 0.1% on August, but down 48.8% year on year.

The total consideration for sale and purchase agreements for the month was $24.2 billion, down 19.6% on August and down 54.8% year on year.
