
Land premiums hit $5.5b in 4Q12
From 23 land transactions.
According to a release, the Lands Department registered 20 lease modifications and three land exchanges in the Land Registry during the fourth quarter last year, of which 13 were modifications of a technical nature involving nil premium.
Among these transactions, 14 were located on Hong Kong Island, six in Kowloon, and three in the New Territories. The transactions exclude Small House cases.
There were no private treaty grants registered during the quarter.
The department said today the land transactions had realised a total land premium of about $5.5 billion.
