More residential developments to be up for sale

Over 8,000 residential developments are expected to be completed by 2014.

One pre-sale consent for a residential development involving 253 units in Sheung Shui in the New Territories was issued in the first quarter, according to the Lands Department. It is expected to be completed in September 2013.

At the end of March, 18 applications for pre-sale consent for uncompleted residential developments involving 8,090 units and one application for pre-sale consent for an uncompleted commercial development were being processed.

Among them, five developments involving 554 units are expected to be completed this year, while 10 developments involving 7,160 units are expected to be completed in 2013.

Two other developments involving 327 units are expected to be completed in 2014. The developer will update the expected completion date for the remaining development involving 49 units.

One application for consent to assign involving 164 residential units and one application for consent to assign for a commercial development are being processed.
