More sites to be up for tender from January to March 2018

The government will provide more land supply despite meeting housing target.

The government has pledged to make available a steady stream of land supply that will be up for residential development even as it has already met its latest private housing target.

“Although we have already reached the target of providing enough land for 18,000 private housing units, we have achieved that already, in the fourth quarter of this financial year, which is from January to March 2018, we will continue to make available sites for tender,” said Secretary for Development Michael Wong last November.

Wong also called on homebuyers to make informed property purchases that is based on their ability to repay mortgage loans.
