According to a report by the Lands Department, tenders for two residential sites have been awarded on 50-year land grants at a total premium of $3.388 billion.
A site on Castle Peak Road, Sheung Shui, was awarded to Winjoy Development for $2.888 billion.
It has a site area of 14,333 square metres and is designated for private residential purposes. The minimum and maximum gross floor areas are 30,959 and 51,598 square metres. More than 515 flats must be built.
The other site, in Tsing Lung Tau, Tsuen Wan, was awarded to Nan Hua International Engineering Company for $500 million.
It has a site area of 4,868 square metres and is designated for private residential purposes. The minimum and maximum gross floor areas are 7,360 and 12,267 square metres. More than 175 units must be built.
