Malaysia's banking sector to grow by 8-10%: OSK

According to OSK Reasearch, a benign non-performing loans outlook coupled with a potential upside surprise fromthe stronger and higher-margin SME loans due to trickle-down effect of the Economic Transformation Programmeprojects, could unexpectedly boost the sector's 2013 outlook.

OSK said it preferred banks that have distribution strength and strong exposure to the ETP-related corporateloans and sukuk.

"We maintain overweight on the sector," it said, adding its preferred top buys were Public Bank, Maybank andCIMB.
