Job lost top reason for lesser Black Friday spendings of Hongkongers

Around 31% of Hongkongers said they will spend less for this year’s Black Friday sales because they lost their jobs, according to Picodi.com.
The same percentage also said that they would rather save their money than participate in the sale.
However, 49% of those surveyed said that they will spend more in this year’s sale, with 57% saying that they plan to buy more expensive items this year whilst 43% simply plan on buying a lot more products.
The average Hongkonger spends $1,650, with men spending more at $1,904 whilst women spending around $1,340 during the sale.
Around 46% of Hongkongers participated in last year’s Black Friday sale.
