Singamas picked as constituent stock of Hang Seng Composite Index
The inclusion reflects the strong recognition of the Company from the investment community.
World-leading container manufacturer and logistics services provider Singamas Container Holdings Limited (“Singamas”) on Thursday announced that the Company has been selected as a constituent of the following indexes, effective on 5 September 2011:
- Hang Seng Composite Index (“HSCI”) Series:
- Hang Seng Composite Index
- Hang Seng Composite Industry Index – Industrial Goods
- Hang Seng SmallCap Index
HSCI is one of the benchmark indexes in the Hang Seng Family of Indexes and it includes sub-indexes namely the Hang Seng Composite Industry Indexes and the Hang Seng Composite Size Indexes. HSCI covers more than 90% of the total market value. The inclusion reflects the strong recognition of the Company from the investment community. Changes to the Hang Seng Family of Indexes may lead to the adjustment or rebalance of portfolios of institutional investors, as mentioned in Singamas report.
