Four Smart Traffic Fund projects receive greenlight
A total grant of $19.9m is allotted for the projects.
The Transport Department (TD) announced that the management committee on the Smart Traffic Fund has approved four new projects, for a total grant of around $19.9m.
The four projects cover a localisation system for autonomous driving and privacy preserving sensing fusion for traffic monitoring.
The last two projects involve driver support training recommendations, which enhance cross-border driving safety during northbound travel; and studies on public transport rerouting.
The fund accepts applications year-round to provide funding support to local organisations and enterprises for conducting research and application of innovation and technology.
