Transport complaints dropped 6.2% in 4Q13
Public transport cases dipped 5.2%.
According to a release, the Transport Complaints Unit received 6,490 complaints and suggestions in the fourth quarter of 2013, down 6.2% on the previous quarter.
Most were related to public transport services (91%), followed by enforcement matters (6%) and traffic conditions (1%).
Cases on public transport services dropped 5.2% to 5,936, while those on traffic conditions dropped from 170 to 106.
Road maintenance cases decreased from 52 to 39, and complaints about illegal parking and other enforcement matters decreased from 410 to 385.
The unit completed investigations into 6,535 cases during the period, and 68 of them were pure suggestions.
Departments and transport operators took on board 25 suggestions to enhance public transport services and improve traffic conditions.
