Westbound Lane at Yiu Hing Road reopens after six-month closure
The section was closed following a severe landslide last September.
The Highways Department has announced the reopening of the westbound lane at Yiu Hing Road near Yiu Tung Estate in Shau Kei Wan.
The section, closed since a severe landslide last September, will resume one-way traffic at approximately 5:30 am on Saturday, 23 March, after completion of repair works.
Citybus routes 77, 82S, 99, N8, cross-harbour routes 110 and 606, and GMB route 65, will resume westbound services. Bus stops near Shaukeiwan Plaza, Tung Shing Court, and Yiu Tung Shopping Centre will reopen, whilst the stop opposite Yiu Ming House will remain suspended.
Additionally, some bus routes will continue to operate via diverted eastbound routing to cater to Yiu Tung Estate residents. The department assures ongoing safety measures, with temporary barriers in place and remaining slope repair works underway. Efforts are being made to fully reopen Yiu Hing Road, including carriageways and footpaths, by the end of June.
