XPENG taps Sime Darby Motors for dealer partnership in Hong Kong
The deal will allow XPENG to bring its latest electric vehicle models to Hong Kong consumers.
XPENG Motors has signed a partnership deal with Sime Darby Motors to be the former’s distributor in Hong Kong.
Through the partnership, XPENG will be able to bring its smart electric vehicles to Hong Kong customers with branded showrooms, after-sales support, and comprehensive guidance through each stage of the buying process, the company said in a statement.
XPENG focus models, including the latest pure electric SUV model G6 and the flagship pure electric seven-seater MPV X9, will be the first to be available for Hong Kong customers by mid-May. Expected delivery starts Q3.

“Coupled with Sime Darby Motors’ years of sales experience in the Hong Kong automotive market, we are excited to bring the premium XPENG experience to Hong Kong,” said XPENG Vice Chairman and President Brian Gu.
As of the end of last year, XPENG has recorded a delivery volume of more than 400,000, over 140,000 of which were new vehicles in 2023 alone.
