436,000 transport subsidy beneficiaries may receive first payment this year

The transport subsidy's first payment is amounting to $3,600, said Secretary for Labour & Welfare Matthew Cheung.

According to Hong Kong Information Services Department, the Government is set to press ahead with all the preparation work.

He said: "We will ensure the scheme will roll out by October for the sake of 436,000 potential beneficiaries. We hope the first payment amounting to $3,600 will be made available to them before the end of this year.”
