Government warns public against bogus e-mail.

Be wary of this e-mail address.

In a report, the Monetary Authority warns the public to beware of fraudulent emails purporting to be issued by it, from the email account [email protected].

The emails have a document attached that might contain viruses.

The authority has clarified it has no connection with the emails and has reported the case to Police.

People who receive the email should call Police on 2860 5012.
