HKMA and Taiwan FSC to cooperate in baking supervisory

The HKMA and the Taiwan Financial Supervisory Commission cooperate in banking supervisory.

A Memorandum of Understanding was signed by Chief Executive of the HKMA, Mr Norman Chan, and Vice Chairperson of the FSC, Dr Jih-Chu Lee.

An HKMA spokesman said, "Given the increasing economic and financial links between Hong Kong and Taiwan, the signing of the MoU will facilitate supervisory cooperation in relation to cross border banking matters. This MoU is the latest one in a series of MoUs signed between the HKMA and other banking supervisory authorities."
