Cathay, OpenRice offer one mile for every $4 cash payment
The First 50,000 members of Asia Miles and Marco Polo Club can get up to 200 extra miles.
Cathay and OpenRice have partnered to launch a one-stop dining and digital payment programme to members of Asia Miles and Marco Polo Club.
The programme will offer one mile for every $4 paid in cash when dining at Cathay Partner Restaurants.
Standard Chartered Cathay Mastercard Credit Card holders may also earn up to three miles for every $4 cash payment on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays.
The first 50,000 members can earn up to 200 extra miles on the first Miles Plus Cash transaction.
“We recently launched our new premium travel lifestyle brand, Cathay, which aims to bring our passion for travel into our daily lives,” Cathay Director Customer Lifestyle Paul Smitton said.
Cathay and OpenRice set a maximum of $10,000 per transaction for it to be eligible to earn miles.
Moreover, in light of the launching, Asia Miles and Marco Polo Club members may enjoy double miles when they dine at a selection of partner restaurants serving different cuisines from around the world from 18 August to 30 September.
“As a long-term partner, we are excited to introduce OpenRice Pay-at-Table technology into the brand-new Cathay app, making Miles Plus Cash payments available at partner restaurants and offering even greater flexibility to diners,” OpenRice CEO and Acting Chief Technology Officer Joe Yau said.
“Currently, over 400,000 OpenRice registered members who have already connected their Asia Miles account with the OpenRice app can also use OpenRice Pay to settle dining bills, earn miles, and enjoy other instant platform offers.”
