Exchange Fund’s foreign assets fell by $29.7b in July
It now stood at $2.4836t.
In a report, the Monetary Authority said that the Exchange Fund’s foreign assets decreased $29.7 billion to $2.4836 trillion month-on-month at the end of July.
The Monetary Base amounted to $1.2325 trillion.
Claims on the private sector in Hong Kong amounted to $201.1 billion.
Foreign liabilities, representing fees payable to the Exchange Fund's external managers, amounted to $600 million.
