
HKMA Chief sets eyes on further monitoring of housing market
The direction of the market remains unclear.
The Hong Kong Monetary Authority (HKMA) Chief commented that it had noted the rebound in property sales in March to July 2014.
According to a research note from Barclays, however, it had also noted that housing sales appear to have slowed in August.
At this point, the direction of the housing market remains unclear and needs to be monitored further.
The HKMA Chief gave these insights in response to question on the current state of the Hong Kong housing market.
