Hong Kong-Canada tax pact comes in force

It was inked in November.

According to a report, an agreement between Hong Kong and Canada for the avoidance of double taxation and the prevention of income tax evasion has come into force.

Signed last November, the agreement has now been implemented after ratification procedures on both sides.

In Hong Kong, it covers any year of assessment from April 1 next year.
