NFT adoption rate to soon hit 21.1%: report
The report said about 10.4% of locals are planning to own NFTs in the future.
The adoption rate of non-fungible tokens (NFTs) in Hong Kong is expected to double to 21.1% in the future, a report from Finder.com revealed.
The forecast was backed by the finding that 10.4% of locals are planning to own NFTs in the near future.
Currently, Finder’s said 45% out of the more than 28,000 adult internet users in Hong Kong are aware of NFTs, while only 10.7% own one.
This places Hong Kong in the eighth ranking among 20 countries in terms of NFT adoption, the report added.
Among NFT owners in Hong Kong, there are more men (11.2%) than women (10.4%), and more among 25-34-year-olds (17.9%) than any other age group.
“It’s still very early days for NFTs in Hong Kong...We expect adoption to grow with awareness,” Finder.com’s cryptocurrency editor Keegan Francis said.
