SFC Executive Director steps down
SFC’s Brian Ho will be retiring as Executive Director – Corporate Finance.
Brian Ho, who is the Executive Director – Corporate Finance of the Securities and Futures Commission (SFC), has retired as his three-year contract expired on 27 August.
During this transition, the SFC has appointed Senior Director – Corporate Finance Megan Tang as the interim head of Corporate Finance as the commission completes its global recruitment exercise.
“We wish to express our appreciation for Brian’s leadership of the Corporate Finance Division and contribution to the commission as a whole,” SFC CEO Ashley Alder said in a statement.
“Throughout his 28-year tenure, Brian has shown unwavering dedication to public service and commitment to the highest regulatory standards in order to ensure the successful development of Hong Kong as a leading listing market.”
Ho, meanwhile, will take up an advisory role with the SFC for six months starting 28 August.
