10 firms that made it in HK’s most attractive companies
The Hong Kong Jockey Club topped the list for the first time in 2021.
The Hong Kong Jockey Club emerged as the most attractive company amongst workers in 2021, leaping from the fourth place in 2020, Randstad reported.
Randstad had conducted a survey with 2,630 locally-based respondents for its Employer Brand Research 2021 report. It was taken following months of political unrest in the city and amidst the COVID-19 pandemic.
“It is clearly an unprecedented challenge for employers to increase the quality of their engagement with employees and job seekers while managing the ramifications of dampened business sentiments and global lockdowns,” Natellie Sun, Managing Director of Search & Selection at Randstad Greater China said
“However, those who had successfully built meaningful relationships with their employees would emerge stronger in the new normal.”
Following The Hong Kong Jockey Club are Cushman & Wakefield and Towngas (The Hong Kong & China Gas Company) in second and third place, respectively.
This is the first time Cushman & Wakefield is included in the list, whilst Towngas ranked 5th in the previous year.
Also amongst the top 10, in this particular order, are Swire Properties, LVMH, HK Electric, Richemont, Morgan Stanley, UBS Bank and J.P. Morgan.
Richemont and the UBS Bank, like Cushman & Wakefield, are also new to the top 10 list.
Meanwhile, Goldman Sachs, Credit Suisse, and IBM which ranked 6th, 9th and 10th in 2020, respectively, were dropped from the top 10.
Moreover, the 2021 research found drivers for employee value proposition are the company’s financial health, job security and good reputation amongst others.
