20 child development fund programmes unveiled

Deadline is on 17 June.

The Social Welfare Department is inviting proposal submissions for the fourth batch of 20 Child Development Fund projects. The application deadline is June 17.

The projects will be rolled out in the second half of this year, providing personal development opportunities for over 2,000 disadvantaged children.

So far, three batches of 40 Child Development Fund projects have helped more than 4,000 children, with the overall aim of reducing intergenerational poverty.

Applicants must be charitable organisations exempt from tax under Section 88 of the Inland Revenue Ordinance, with a good track record of providing child and youth services in Hong Kong.

Application forms and guidelines are available on the department's website. A briefing session will be held on May 15 at the Lady Trench Training Centre in Wan Chai.
