Judges to get salary increase

The Chief Executive in Council has decided to adjust judges' and judicial officers' pay by 4.22%.

A report by the Information Services Department said, “The decision was made after considering the recommendation of the Standing Committee on Judicial Salaries & Conditions of Service.”

The committee, according to the report, took into account the principle of judicial independence and the position of the Judiciary, the judges' workload, and recruitment and retention in the Judiciary.
