Mainland school applications unveiled
Deadline is on 6 June.
According to the Education Bureau, students planning to enrol in the Scheme for Admission of Hong Kong Students to Mainland Higher Education Institutions should file online applications from May 6 to June 6.
For the 2013 Scheme as announced by the Ministry of Education, 70 Mainland higher education institutions will consider admission of Hong Kong students based on their results in the Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education Examination and the Hong Kong Advanced Level Examination.
Candidates sitting for these two examinations this year are eligible for enrolment.
Students should file their applications at the Joint Enrolment Office website, and attend on-site confirmation in person from June 7 to June 30 at the Office of the China Education Exchange (HK) Centre in Sheung Wan, or at the Centre for on-site confirmation for the Scheme in Kowloon Tong.
For 2013, institutions may arrange interviews based on submitted information. The formal admission stage will start in early August, when institutions will announce admission results. Supplementary enrolment will be conducted as needed on August 9 and 10.
The bureau and the Hok Yau Club have jointly compiled a Chinese handbook on the scheme. Click here for the e-version.
