Welfare recipients to get one-off extra payment
It'll be available on 26 July.
According to a report, a one-off additional payment, equivalent to one month's standard rate, will be made to welfare recipients on July 26.
The payment applies to recipients under the Comprehensive Social Security Assistance scheme, and to Old Age Allowance, Old Age Living Allowance and Disability Allowance recipients.
The money will be paid through existing methods; recipients do not need to make an additional application.
The payment is part of a package of one-off measures to help ease economic pressure and stimulate economic growth as announced by the Financial Secretary in his February 27 Budget Speech.
