
5% of Hong Kong workforce on the Mainland
Survey shows 175,100 Hong Kong residents worked on the Mainland before July 2010.
A report by the Information Services Department said the figure grew from 122,300 in 1995 to 244,000 in 2004, but has decreased progressively since.
The workforce proportion, according to the Information Services Department, remained fairly stable at 80% to 85% between 1995 and 1998, and has exceeded 90% since 2001.
