7 in 10 workers interested in using AI for mundane tasks
Compared to other Greater China regions, Hong Kongers are more optimistic about the developing technology.
Seven in 10 (70%) Hong Kong workers have expressed interest in using artificial intelligence to automate mundane office tasks indicating a willingness to work alongside bots, according to a survey from Adobe Research.
Workers believe that the use of technology enables better efficiency, enhanced work quality and improved productivity.
Adobe Research notes that compared to other Greater China regions, Hong Kong respondents were more optimistic about new age technologies.
This runs contrary to the overall anxiety that the use of such emerging technologies will render human resources unnecessary as the APAC average for openness to working with AI is similarly high at 93%.
Similarly, only 28% of Hong Kongers view AI as a growing threat to their jobs – a significantly lower figure than that of China (41%) and Taiwan (35%).
