HKEX appoints Kerry Rooks as new Chief People Officer
She will begin her duty on 10 January.
The Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing Limited (HKEX) named Kerry Rooks as its new Chief People Officer.
Rooks will take over as Group Head of HR and will also serve as a member of HKEX’s Management Committee starting 10 January.
Before her appointment to HKEX, Rooks served as Chief HR Officer for Prudential Hong Kong. She also held HR roles for New York Life International - Asia, based out of Hong Kong; AIG in New York and Hong Kong; and Prudential Life Insurance in Tokyo.
HKEX CEO Nicolas Aguzin, for his part, welcomed Rooks’ appointment.
“I know that her deep and broad experience will be invaluable to us as we continue to develop our business,” Aguzin said.
Rooks will succeed Paul Choi, who the bourse said will pursue “other career interests.”
Choi, however, will remain with HKEX as an advisor to the bourse until 31 March.
